W artykule przedstawiono sylwetkę Johna Rawlsa filozofa zajmującego się tematyką sprawiedliwości i pokojowego współdziałania. Omówiono główne idee zawarte w „Teorii sprawiedliwości" i "Liberalizmie politycznym". W zakończeniu skupiono się na tezach zawartych w "Prawie Ludów".

This article is devoted to the principles of International co-existence on which Rawls worked up to the end. Rawls regards these principles as generalizing and carrying to a higher level the conception context that hę presented in A Theory of Justice and Political Liberalism. Therefore, in the first part of this article, the author reviews the most important arguments put forward in both of these works. The article, developed on the basis of a lecture delivered after Rawls' death at meeting of the Polish Philosophy Society in Kraków, also contains Information on Rawls' life. This information provides the basis for certain claims on the sources of Rawls' interest i n problems of justice. (original abstract)
