Abstrakty

W artykule opisano problemy związane z inwestowaniem przez IDA (International Development Association), Międzynarodowy Fundusz Walutowy (IMF) oraz Unię Europejską w Afryce subsaharyjskiej. Przedstawiono ryzyko związane ze zmienną wartością pieniądza w czasie, zróżnicowaniem geograficznym oraz wypłacalnością krajów.

Many international organisations and private firms invest in Africa, however on a much smaller scale than in other regions of the world. The reason for this is very high political and economic ris. Accroding to such agences as institutional investor. Euromoney and Economist Intelligence Unit this is due TO many civil wars on the continent and very unstable economic policy. Apart from that, many African countries are in debt. Changing this situation requires a lot of time to pay the debt alone (assuming that the GN.P remains unchanged). It will take also a lot of time for peace TO corne back on the continent. (original abstract)
