Abstrakty
EN
The network goods market, with a different demand curve than hitherto, expressing the readiness to pay for participation in the network, is characterized by three equilibrium points and a different type of competition that consists in subsidizing competitors, as well as compatibility, complementarity and standardization of parts and design methods, which constitutes a microeconomic field of inquiry in regard to the new market structure. Explaining new phenomena on the basis of the theory of agglomerations (clusters) suggests that we are dealing with a traditional economy in which only now has the new nature of demand been identified, which I would equate with the characteristics of network clusters. The modern economy is distinguished by its global reach, which means that significantly larger areas - even an economic space the size of a European country - may constitute a cluster. Also possible is greater polarization between spaces that contain developing clusters and areas of stagnation, due to the tendencies to concentration and monopolization that accompany the development of networks.
