EN

Knowledge-based economy is a new phenomenon which has impact on all aspects of social life. There are different names and definitions of it. The aim of this article is to identify the features of this current development stage of the world economy and point out some conclusive facts which may be useful for managers and researchers in their professional activities. Gospodarka oparta na wiedzy jest nowym zjawiskiem, które wywiera ogromny wpływ na wszystkie aspekty życia społecznego. Istnieją różne nazwy i różne definicje tego zjawiska. Celem artykułu jest identyfikacja specyficznych cech tej bieżącej fazy rozwoju światowej gospodarki oraz wskazanie takich istotnych aspektów, które mogą być pożyteczne dla zarządzających i badaczy w ich codziennych sytuacjach zawodowych.
