Abstrakty

Przedstawiono istotę i zakres polityki konkurencji Unii Europejskiej. Przybliżono politykę konkurencji Unii Europejskiej i poszczególnych państw członkowskich. Omówiono dostosowywanie krajowych przepisów konkurencji do zasad unijnych.

The last enlargement of the European Union when Poland became a Member State came together with the implementation of the biggest reform of the competition policy of the EU. Member States at last got broader legitimacy to influence the common policy and their involvement in those matters is very vital. It is the case due to the most important aims of the reform of the competition policy of the EU which was its decentralization and increasing the role and competences of national institutions dealing with the protection of the market competition. So, accession of Poland to the European Union and taking over the acquis communautaire does not mean an utter transfer of competences in the area of competition from Member State government to the EU institutions. In contrary, it means enhencing the scope of competences of national institutions, because behalf of the current duty to guard the national competition law, it is an obligation of those institutions to be active and directly involved in the implementation of the competition policy and law of the European Union.
