Review of Selected Applications and Development Trajectories of the QFD Method

Abstrakty
Przedstawiono rozwój zastosowań Quality Function Development (QFD) w Japonii i USA oraz w krajach europejskich. Omówiono rezultaty zastosowania QFD w Brazylii a także porównano międzynarodowe zastosowania metody QFD.
This article presents the hitherto application and future development trajectories of the QFD method. As a starting point for a discussion on modifying the method, the author presents the combined results of research on the evolution and effectiveness of QFD application in sample countries. The scope of this research covers both the classical (product) and non-product applications of the method. Next, the author indicates two main areas for the development of the QFD method. The first is the subject area relating to the application of the method in new sectors (financial services, medical services, education and software). The second is the methodological area covering the change in research procedure, applied HoQ matrices, and the group of supporting tools specific to the classical version of the method.
