Abstrakty

W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań przeprowadzonych w 2005 roku w środowisku naukowym. Objętą sondażem reprezentację tego środowiska stanowili tzw. samodzielni pracownicy nauki – doktorzy habilitowani, profesorowie. W ankiecie zapytano m.in. o ocenę zdolności i skłonności przedsiębiorstw do stosowania dorobku nauk o zarządzaniu, realizowane i postulowane typy przedsięwzięć służących doskonaleniu zarządzania w praktyce gospodarczej oraz główne przesłanki dla podejmowania i wprowadzania zmian przez menedżerów.

Representatives of all the interested parties (entrepreneurs, managers, consultants, scientists) generally agree that the achievements of management sciences should be widely applied in the economic practice. In reality, however, this postulate is not sufficiently fulfilled, particularly as regards the latest elements of these achievements (the so-called contemporary concepts and methods of management). Knowledge diffusion across enterprises encounters numerous obstacles which are not fully understood and cause a lot of controversies. Therefore, it is necessary to look for answers to the question about application of management science achievements in the economic practice in the opinion of representatives of academic circles. In order to accomplish the aim of the article the authors made an attempt to define: the real and postulated range of activities undertaken by enterprises to improve (modernize) management, premises (motives) of activities improving management and obstacles to these activities, results obtained (efficiency and effectiveness of implementations).
