W pracy przedstawione zostały wyniki badań marketingowych dotyczące kierunków i tendencji wakacyjnej migracji studentów dziennych Akademii Ekonomicznej w Poznaniu.
Temporary emigration in search for work has been popular among Polish people for decades now. The standard of living in Western European countries is still much higher than in Poland. This is a particular incentive especially for the young people to face the challenge of working abroad. The current situation on the job market only reinforces these tendencies. Students' decisions to leave the country in search for summer jobs abroad is connected with many dilemmas. First of all: which country to choose. Other concerns refer to the conditions on the foreign job market, attractiveness of its segments especially in terms of possible wages and the cost of living. The survey conducted among the students of the Poznań University of Economics aimed to verify the hypothesis that Great Britain and Ireland are the most popular destinations of Polish students' seasonal work emigration. The results of the survey were supposed to serve as a source of complete information about the most effective job search, average wages and cost of living in the most interesting destination countries. The main goal of the survey was to provide the information concerning employment conditions, however the authors searched for the answer as to attractiveness of the country in terms of customs, sightseeing and cuisine. The information was supposed to embody all the aspects of the students' stay abroad so that the readers would find all the necessary information before deciding about their seasonal emigration destination country.
