Abstrakty

Celem artykułu jest charakterystyka wzorów zachowań konsumenckich na rynku usług finansowych w Polsce w łatach 1999-2006. Obejmuje formy i cele oszczędzania, a także decyzje dotyczące zaciągania kredytów i pożyczek wraz z planami ich przeznaczenia. Analiza została dokonana na podstawie wyników ogólnopolskich badań ankietowych przeprowadzonych przez autorkę na reprezentatywnej próbie 1000 konsumentów w 1999 roku i 2004 roku oraz badań ankietowych zrealizowanych przez PBS DGA w 2006 roku na próbie 1034 dorosłych Polaków. Ponadto wykorzystane zostały badania innych ośrodków badawczych i naukowych w badanym horyzoncie czasowym. (fragment artykułu)

The financial market in Poland is characterised by huge dynamics. Processes of integration, globalisation and liberalisation influence the variety, speed and intensity of changes in the consumer environment. Adjusting patterns of consumer behaviour to the new market conditions, however, is of gradual character, and is subject to the influence of time. Taking a decision to purchase financial services is for consumers much more complicated than in the case of other products. Individual financial behaviour in Poland is characterised by a low level of progress. This results from a low level of income, low susceptibility to risk and fear of losing financial resources. The savings are of buffer and location character , there is a domination of short-term orientation. Debts are a result of borrowing due to necessity (current payments) or need for luxury (purchase of goods). The analysis was made on the basis of the results of national surveys made by the author on the representative sample of 1000 consumers in 1999 and 2004 and surveys conducted by PBS DGA in 2006.
