Abstrakty

W artykule analizowano potencjalne konsekwencje liberalizacji handlu rolnego w czasie Rundy Doha Światowej Organizacji Handlu (WTO) dla Polski i kilku wybranych krajów (Czechy, Słowacja, Francja, Niemcy, Brazylia i Stany Zjednoczone). Porównano zawartość trzech propozycji liberalizacji handlu, przedstawionych przez Wspólnoty Europejskie (WE), Stany Zjednoczone oraz grupę G – 20, reprezentującą kraje rozwijające się. Przeprowadzono symulację potencjalnych skutków redukcji ceł, wsparcia finansowego i eliminacji subsydiów eksportowych przy użyciu policzalnego modelu równowagi ogólnej GTAP. Z symulacji wynika, że zmiany w strumieniach handlu krajów europejskich będą relatywnie niewielkie. W Polsce korzyści z liberalizacji mogą wystąpić w produkcji zwierząt żywych, produktów mleczarskich oraz niektórych zbóż. (abstrakt oryginalny)

The article is devoted to the analysis of potential impact of liberalization of trade in agricultural commodities (the Doha Round of WTO) on the economies of Poland and several other selected countries (Czech Republic, Slovakia, France, Brazil and the US). Three proposals on trade liberalization, submitted by European Communities, the US and G-20 (a group of developing countries) are presented and compared. The simulation of potential effects of custom duties reduction, provision of financial support as well as of the elimination of export subsidies, based on the computable general equilibrium model (GTAP), indicates that for the European countries changes in trade flows would relatively be insubstantial. Poland, from trade liberalization, might derive certain benefits in the production of live animals, dairy products and certain grains. (original abstract)
