Artykuł jest próbą identyfikacji i charakterystyki różnych metod i koncepcji definiowania pojęcia zaawansowanych technologii i przemysłu zaawansowanych technologii w ujęciu retrospektywnym. Podjęto również próbę analizy metod definiowania pojęcia zawansowanych technologii z punktu widzenia ich specyfiki i ograniczeń ich wykorzystywania w praktyce. (skróc. oryg. streszcz.)

The issue of defining the term high-tech or high-tech industry is complex and multidimensional. There is no generally accepted definition of high technology or high technology industry. The article presented is an attempt to identify and characterize the various methods and concepts of defining the tern high-tech in retrospective approach. An attempt was also made to analyze methods of defining the term high-tech from the point of view of its specifics and practical usage limitations. (original abstract)
