Abstrakty

Zaprezentowano najważniejsze determinanty umieralności różnicujące jej wzorzec w poszczególnych subgrupach ubezpieczeniowych. Omówiono determinanty umieralności charakterystyczne dla zakładów ubezpieczeń na życie - ryzyko umieralności ubezpieczonych i ryzyko stopy procentowej, i dla ubezpieczonych - rodzaj ubezpieczenia, sposób jego zawarcia czy długość trwania umowy ubezpieczeniowej.

Mortality is one of the most important concerns of actuarial work related to life Insurance and annuity products. There are various risk factors that have the impact on mortality. In addition to age and sex, those risk factors include socio-economic/demographic (education, income, marital status) and behavioral factors (smoking, drinking alcohol, obesity, physical activity). Moreover there arę some specific mortality determinants characteristic only for insured persons, such as type of in-surance policy or time of being insured. Using those factor enables insurers to provide morę eąuitable insurance premiums and efficient reserves setting. This paper presents various determinants of mortality and the results of many studies which shows the impact of the particular determinants on mortality. (original abstract)
