This paper describe the Swedish agriculture since 1995 mostly from the national perspective. We deal with questions regarding the size and development of Swedish agricultures, compared to the total national economy. Furthermore, we are interested in Swedish agricultural productivity and international trade. Another question is about the international position of Swedish agriculture and foodstuff production. According to our findings, in general Swedish agriculture is not internationally competitive. There are yet some products, which are great successes on international markets. Furthermore in our opinion, because of economies of scale, rising international demand for food, especially in some large low-income, but strongly growing economies, changing food consumption habits, and improved productivity and quality, Swedish agriculture and foodstuff industry has some opportunities on international markets, at least regarding some high value added good. Finally we are discussing the very large spectrum of production in Swedish agricultural producers and the importance of consumer preferences and tastes. (original abstract)

W opracowaniu przedstawiono ważniejsze zmiany w rolnictwie szwedzkim po 1995 roku. Ukazano znaczenie produkcji rolnej, a także niską konkurencyjność tego rolnictwa w ujęciu międzynarodowym. Zaprezentowano też zmiany w zatrudnieniu i wyposażeniu gospodarstw w latach 1995-2004. (abstrakt oryginalny)
