This paper briefly discusses the framework of the New Zealand's public sector financial system. New Zealand is considered to be as one of the pioneer from group of OECD countries, in introducing up-to-date solutions in the public sector financial management system (eg. performance budgeting). New ideas were introduced during numbers of reforms started in late 80's and are still considered as benchmarks for many countries around the world. The New Zealand's experiences should be known and widely discussed, especially in Poland, where The Ministry of Finance is going to introduce performance budgeting in 2013. (original abstract)
