Abstrakty

Celem artykułu jest zbadanie wpływu zachodzących w gospodarce światowej procesów integracyjnych na eksport i import kapitału. Przedmiotowe relacje są analizowane głównie na płaszczyźnie empirycznej. Przedmiotem artykułu są zarówno przepływy kapitału wewnątrz ugrupowań, jak i przepływy dokonujące się z krajami trzecimi. W części pierwszej omówiono teoretyczne aspekty współzależności pomiędzy integracją oraz kierunkami inwestycji zagranicznych. Część druga zawiera krytyczną prezentację i ocenę dotychczasowych studiów empirycznych odnoszących się do przedmiotowej relacji.

Economic integration has an influence both on trade and on capital flows within an integrating area. As in the case of trade, there are two effects: investment creation and investment diversion. Investment flows can be complementary or substitutive in relation to trade. The main two parts of this article discuss theoretical aspects of regional integration, especially its influence on the directions of FDI flows. Moreover, empirical studies describing relation between integration and direct investments are presented. (original abstract)
