Abstrakty

Zaprezentowano wyniki badań przeprowadzonych w sierpniu i wrześniu 2005 roku w 8 wsiach gminy Piotrków Kujawski w województwie kujawsko-pomorskim oraz gminy Wierzbinek w województwie wielkopolskim. Badania miały na celu określenie głównych różnic pomiędzy liderami a grupą pozostałych rolników. W badanej populacji nie zanotowano istotnych różnic wieku oraz wykształcenia pomiędzy liderami a pozostałymi rolnikami. (skróc. oryg. streszcz.)

The article deals with the results of surveys carried out in August and September 2005 in 8 villages of Piotrków Kujawski parish in Kujawsko-pomorskie province and Wierzbinek parish of Wielkopolskie province. The examinations were performed with the use of socio-metric methods on a group of 102 respondents who were farm owners. The purpose of the examinations was to identify leaders by using survey questionnaires. The leaders were classified into 3 categories: opinion leaders, production leaders and organization leaders. The examinations also aimed at defining the differences between the leaders and the other farmers. In the examined population there were no significant differences between the leaders and other farmers as far as their age and education were concerned. The leaders owned much larger farms than the remaining farmers. The surveys showed that the desire of getting acquainted with novelties was significantly higher on the part of the leaders compared to other farmers. The surveys showed that farmers were more eager to exchange information with their close neighbors whereas leaders were willing to cooperate with farmers from other villages, too. Both the leaders and other farmers were of similar opinion on the subject of the influence of Poland's integration with the European Union on development of farms in Poland. Leaders were even slightly less optimistic on this issue. Both the group of leaders and other farmers expressed the need to extend their farms and purchase of new equipment. (original abstract)
