Abstrakty

W ciągu ostatnich dziesięciu lat wzrosło znaczenie chińskich i indyjskich producentów ciężarówek. W rezultacie już teraz wśród najważniejszych dziesięciu producentów samochodów dwa są z Chin, jeden z Indii. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest udzielenie odpowiedzi na następujące pytania: dlaczego te firmy są tak silne teraz, dlaczego nie sprzedają głównie ciężarówek na rynek krajowy i są w stanie eksportować swoje produkty nie tylko do innych regionach Azji lub Afryki, ale dla bogatszych krajów, w tym Unii Europejskiej.

Thanks to proper ways of know-how transfer (joint-ventures, licenses, co-operation agreements, FDI) Chinese and Indian truck makers - regarding the production volumes - became very strong within the last ten years. As a result - now - among the most important ten producers of trucks - two are from China, one from India. However, these Asian producers are still focused on their domestic markets. The aim of this article is to answer the following questions: why are they so strong now, why do they sell trucks mainly to domestic customers and are they able to export their products not only to other Asian or African regions but to richer countries, including the EU ones (what challenges, threats, opportunities are connected with new markets' opening).
