W artykule podjęto problematykę metod oceny czasopism naukowych oraz naukowców przez odniesienie się do najbardziej popularnej miary - Impact Factor. Zaprezentowano jego konstrukcję, sposoby wykorzystania oraz wady i zalety.(abstrakt oryginalny)
The article concerns the issue of evaluation of scientific journals and scholars by referring to the most popular scientometric measure, namely Impact Factor. Its mode of construction, as well as, the uses and misuses were highlighted. (original abstract)
