Abstrakty

Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie i porównanie metod pozwalających wyznaczać współczynniki, jakich używa się przy konstrukcji statystyki testu normalności Shapiro-Wilka. W opracowaniu przedstawiono metodę symulacyjną wynikającą bezpośrednio z wywodów teoretycznych autorów testu, jednak nawet w dobie szybkich i wydajnych komputerów ma ona pewne techniczne ograniczenia. Następnie przedstawiono dwie propozycje wyznaczania tych współczynników. Pierwsza z nich pochodzi z pracy S. Weisberga i C. Binghama (1975), która stanowi — prostą numerycznie — alternatywę dla metody symulacyjnej. Z kolei druga propozycja jest modyfikacją wcześniejszej. Dokonano porównań tych metod ze wskazując na wady, jak i zalety rozważanych propozycji.(abstrakt oryginalny)

The aim of the article is to present and compare estimation methods o j coefficients for Shapiro-Wilk (1965) normality test. In the first part of the paper a simulation method, which is the result of theoretical considerations by the test authors is presented. Unfortunately, even in the age of fast and effective computers, the simulation method has some technical limitations. In the next part of the paper two interesting proposals of the coefficient calculations is presented. The first one comes from the paper of Weisberg and Bingham (1975) which is a very simple numerical alternative for the simulation method. The second one is some modification of the previous method and it is described in the papers of Patrick Royston (1982, 1995). Subsegmently the comparison of all the methods and the faults and merits of the proposals are presented.(original abstract)
