Abstrakty

Przedstawiono wskaźnik postępu technologicznego stosowany przez Program Narodów Zjednoczonych ds. Rozwoju. Omówiono procedury oceny i porównań działań przedsiębiorstw wysokich technologii w Unii Europejskiej. Scharakteryzowano obszary i sekcje działań firm wysokich technologii w UE.

In the European Union, particular attention is focused on helping innovative enterprises, and especially on developing procedures for quick implementation of modern solutions developed in the high-tech area. In collective comparative studies, apart from the Technology Achievement Index, indicators developed by EU experts to measure the level of innovativeness in countries, regions and branches are also applied. Aiding high-technology areas is of special interest. This is linked to the policy of making the EU the most competitive economy based on knowledge and new technologies. These high-technology areas include: computers and automated equipment for companies (e.g., optical appliances linked to computers, data recognition), micro organisms and genetic engineering, aviation, transport, semi-conductors and solutions using lasers. This article attempts to categorise the measures used in EU countries to assess of level of innovativeness.(original abstract)
