Podjęto próbę wyjaśnienia wpływu czynników otoczenia na rozwój małych i średnich przedsiębiorstw. Przedstawiono bariery i stymulatory rozwoju w odniesieniu do faz cyklu życia małych i średnich przedsiębiorstw.

The subject literature distinguishes several factors that determine the establishment, survival, operation and development of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises in particular regions. In this article, the author presents a classification of these factors in terms of whether they are barriers or stimulators. On this basis, the author explains the influence of regional environment (meso-environment) factors on the development of small and medium-sized enterprises in various phases of their life cycle.
