Abstrakty

Lata 2004-2007 były dla polskich przedsiębiorstw okresem niejednorodnym. Już od 2003 roku stopniowo następowało ożywienie w polskiej gospodarce, które przyczyniło się do wzrostu przychodów, jak i generowanych wyników. W sektorze przedsiębiorstw odnotowano w badanym okresie istotne, wielokierunkowe zmiany w podstawowych wskaźnikach ekonomicznych. Podkreślić należy, że większość z tych zmian miała charakter zdecydowanie pozytywny, może być to przejawem wzrostu poziomu ich konkurencyjności, która powinna być oparta właśnie na solidnych podstawach ekonomicznych. W opracowaniu niniejszym zaprezentowano syntetyczne rozważania dotyczące wybranych kategorii ekonomicznych, które potwierdzają tezę o wzroście efektywności przedsiębiorstw w latach 2004-2007. This paper presents synthetic considerations related to chosen economic categories which support the thesis about the growth of companies' effectiveness in the years 2004-2007. The considerations included categories of gross and net financial results achieved by business sector, with attention drawn to the fact that in the analysed period Polish companies noted positive gross and net results. The highest pace of changes of these results was noted in 2004 but successive years were also very good for companies, the pace of changes of generated gross results was as much as a two-digit number. It undoubtedly means an improvement of management effectiveness in these companies and also a growth in the number of profitable entities. Growing volume of financial results also proved growing possibilities of capital accumulation, the situation which allowed companies to consider new investment undertakings, modernisation of owned production capacity, increasing the volume of manufactured goods or provided services. Also considerations of Polish companies' profitability were presented in this article. Growing volumes of gross and net financial results at a higher rate than income generated by companies resulted in advantageous changes regarding the obtained profitability levels of gross and net turnover. The gross profitability grew to the level of 6.1% and the net profitability - to the level of 5% for the total number of companies. Summing up, one may state that effectiveness of Polish enterprises in the years 2004-2007 was at a satisfying level, comparable to that in Europe, which indirectly proves an enormous effort that companies had to take to equal European competition on the homogenous EU market.
