Abstrakty
Przedstawiono strategię jako zbiór kompetencji. Scharakteryzowano takie strategie działań przedsiębiorczych, jak: podejmowanie nowych inicjatyw gospodarczych, zarządzanie przedsiębiorcze i intraprzedsiębiorczość.
This article refers to the resource approach in strategic management. According to the resources school of thought, a company’s potential source of competitive advantage lies in its unique resources, competencies and abilities. Such an approach to strategy places entrepreneurship at the centre of attention of managers. Entrepreneurship as an exceptional ability to keep an organisation on the market is, according to the above theory, one of the competencies leading to the building of long-term competitive advantage, especially in branches where the key factors of competitiveness are flexibility, innovativeness, and a fast, effective exploitation of market opportunities. Firms wanting to achieve and maintain dominance over their competition through entrepreneurship must gain three competencies: the ability to implement innovation, take risks, and behave proactively (both employees and the organisation as a whole). The author discusses companies’ three main types of entrepreneurial activity: establishing new economic initiatives, grassroots initiatives, and a new strategic direction. These three types of activities differ in terms of the necessary level of autonomy of employees and in terms of the main actors involved. Organisational entrepreneurship may assume any of these forms, and the proposed types of entrepreneurship may co-exist within an organisation. Realisation of the above-mentioned entrepreneurship strategies requires possession of specific organisational competencies, whose effective exploitation brings long-term benefits. (original abstract)
