Przedstawiono znaczenie przedsiębiorczości samorządu gminy w strategii jej rozwoju. Problem ten badano na przykładzie Tarnowa Podgórnego. W strategii samorządu tej gminy podjęto niekonwencjonalne działania zmierzające od pozyskania inwestorów zewnętrznych i bezpośrednich inwestycji zagranicznych.

The aim of the paper is to present the significance of the district autonomy initiative in it strategy of development. This problem was examined on the basis of Tarnowo Podgórne. In the autonomy strategy of this district there were undertaken non conventional activities aiming at winning the outer investors and direct foreign investments. In the process of development local community takes part actively because they have noticed that only their own work may bring about the satisfactory results. Thanks to that this district is nowadays one of the most development ones in Poland. (original abstract)
