Scharakteryzowano zagadnienie społeczeństwa informacyjnego i strategii lizbońskiej oraz przybliżono strategie lizbońską w kontekście tworzenia społeczeństwa informacyjnego.

The Lisbon Strategy is the primary document guaranteeing the development of innovation and information-based societies in all EU member states. Emphasis placed on the improvement of knowledge and innovation activities is expected to result in the higher competitiveness of all organizations (enterprises) functioning in the global market. Development of an information society is becoming a particularly significant factor for Poland. Our country does not belong to areas where development has reached a high level. In the present circumstances the accessibility of structural funds provides a range of opportunities that in the new programming period will largely serve the development of an information society. In the long term, this will considerably affect the functioning and competitiveness of enterprises in Europe and even throughout the world. (original abstract)
