Podjęto próbę analizy struktury towarowej polskiego handlu zagranicznego. Zwrócono uwagę na zmianę struktury obrotów, mającą wpływ na poziom konkurencyjności wymiany handlowej po stronie polskiego eksportu i importu.

In this article, the author attempts to analyse the goods structure of Poland’s foreign trade, and focuses on those changes in the trade structure that impact on the competitiveness of both Polish imports and exports. The author analyses the changes in the goods structure of Polish foreign trade due to the intensity of use of production factors. He divides trade streams into raw material-intensive, labour-intensive, capital-intensive and technology-intensive products. The author translates this goods structure into the geographical structure of trade, analysing in detail the trade structure for each of Poland’s trading partners used in the research. The author analyses the changes in the trade structure in relation to Poland’s foreign trade deficit in order to assess to what extent the competitiveness of trade streams is reflected in the trade balance.(original abstract)
