The purpose of this paper is to provide a response to the concerns raised about possible offshoring investments in Poland which require skilled labour force. Offshoring derives from the outsourcing process. The globalization process results in a geographical fragmentation of value chains in some segments, such as production and service processes, and lead to a global transfer and relocation of some tasks to new destinations, including Poland. The purpose of the paper was accomplished by a literature overview and an analysis of some investment attractiveness indexes recommended by the consulting companies. (original abstract)
