Omówiono prawną sytuację Romów w świetle aktów prawa międzynarodowego uchwalonych przez wybrane organizacje międzynarodowe, zarówno o zasięgu regionalnym, jak i międzynarodowym. Przedstawiono prawa człowieka w wybranych aktach prawa międzynarodowego, a także problematykę romską jako przedmiot działalności wybranych organizacji międzynarodowych i uchwalonych przez nie aktów prawa międzynarodowego.

This article presents the legal status of the Romany minority, a group which fits into neither the category of “national minority” or “ethnic minority”. The first part of the article looks at international documents on the war against discrimination in the world and grants all people basic rights. The next part details specific international laws and acts passed by selected international organizations for the Romany minority. It also carries out an analysis of the registration of these documents. Finally, the article describes concrete action and programs of international organizations attempting to address the legal, social and economic situation of the Romany. (original abstract)
