Przedstawiono inwestycje w infrastrukturę poprawiające jakość transportu zbiorowego. Zaprezentowano innowacyjne pomysły dla podniesienia satysfakcji pasażerów. Przeanalizowano problem poprawy bezpieczeństwa w środkach komunikacji zbiorowej.

The quality and efficiency improvement of the public transport is currently one of the most important European Commission goals in the scope of the sustainable mobility. Measures, already realized by seventeen cities in the first edition of the CiViTAS programme, show considerable efficiency and improvement of the public transport services. Mostly it was the reason of the strong political engagement in cities. Unfortunately the evaluation made in the first edition of the programme did not take care on an analytical evaluation of the results, but thanks to the Commission efforts, evaluation in the second programme should be more detailed. This paper presents the scope of the CiViTAS initiative and on the example of a few measures implementation effects, which improved the quality and efficiency of the public transport.
