Goal Programming with Linear Fractional Criteria: an Application to a Forest Problem

In a goal programming problem with linear fractional criteria, the resulting problem is not easy to solve due to the non-linear constraints inherent in its formulation. The paper introduces a simple and reliable test to establish whether a linear fractional goal problem has solutions satisfying all the goals; if this is the case, the solutions arc found by solving a linear programming problem. This scheme has been applied to a forest planning problem which made economic and ecological objectives compatible with data provided by the Integral Forest Enterprise of Pinar del Rio (Cuba).

Przy programowaniu celowym z liniowymi kryteriami ułamkowymi nie jest łatwo rozwiązać występujący problem z powodu nieliniowych ograniczeń właściwych dla tego sformułowania. Artykuł przedstawia prosty i niezawodny test sprawdzający czy problem programowania liniowego przy celu ułamkowym ma rozwiązania zaspokajające wszystkie cele; w takim przypadku, rozwiązania zakreślają łuk stworzony przez wyjaśnianie problemu programowania liniowego. Ten schemat został zastosowany do problemów planowania leśnego, który sprawił, że gospodarcze i ekologiczne cele były zgodne z danymi dostarczonymi przez przedsiębiorstwo Integral Forest Enterprise Pinar del Rio (Kuba).
