Abstrakty

W analiz przemian demograficznych i społecznych ważne jest pozyskiwanie informacji o ludności ze spisów powszechnych odwołuję się przy tym do dwóch, według autora najważniejszych, podstawowych kwestii, tzn. specyfiki przebiegu tych procesów w Polsce w ostatnich dwóch dekadach (zmiany rodziny, mobilność terytorialna, zawodowa i społeczna, dynamika zmian) oraz rozwoju reprezentatywnych badań statystycznych i doskonalenia danych o ludności pochodzących z rejestrów1. Rozważania rozpoczęto od uwag dotyczących zmiany paradygmatu badań demograficznych oraz rozwoju reprezentatywnych badań statystycznych. Następnie omówiono przemiany demograficzne w Polsce po 1989 r. na tle ogólnych przemian demograficznych w Europie, wskazując na konieczność sięgania do informacji pochodzącej ze spisów, mimo rozwoju badań statystycznych. Kolejna część artykułu poświęcona jest unikalności informacji spisowej. Ostatni punkt zawiera sugestie dotyczące wykorzystania informacji ze spisu do analiz przemian demograficznych i społecznych w Polsce.

The census information for Poland's and other European countries' demographic and social changes analyses is discussed respecting two basic questions: character of the processes in the last decades (family changes, territorial, occupational and social mobility, change dynamics) and development of statistical sample surveys as well as improving population data coming from registers. The article discusses unique characteristics of census information as well as their cognitive value for identification of change and continuity process elements in Poland (in comparison with previous censuses), comparative analyses of changes in Poland and in other countries, estimation of social needs resulting from the changes as well as recognition of the social risk groups. The role of the information on demographic and social structures in multidimensional evaluation on "how the Polish society handles with the change", and what chances it has to be equal to the technical revolution and the globalisation with the simultaneous need to cut down the development lag were stressed in the article too.(original abstract)
