Abstrakty

W artykule omówiono dysproporcje regionalne występujące w Polsce oraz przedstawiono najbiedniejsze i najbogatsze regiony obecnej Unii Europejskiej. Opisano krótko stanowiska ekonomistów dotyczące interwencjonizmu państwowego oraz instytucje udzielające pomocy w Polsce w 2000 r. Scharakteryzowano również rolę interwencjonizmu w rolnictwie.

Economic and social disparities remain substantial between regions in Poland. Regions whose development is lagging very far behind, most are situated in the east part of Poland. The reduction in the gaps between average GDP per head between regions and the sustainable development of poorest regions (which are still highly dependent on agriculture) is impracticable without government agricultural interventionism. Support to agricultural producers and rural areas in more OECD countries is still higher than in Poland. But the delivery of assistance to regions couldn't convert in excessive protectionism. The aim of agricultural interventionism should help the regions to move forward, make regions more competitive by creation of activity local societies and make full use of their potential. The guiding principle of interventionism should be to reinforce efforts to ensure the efficient use and contribution of all financial resources made available for reduction in regional disparities in Poland.
