Celem artykułu jest przeprowadzenie analizy sektora transportowego w Australii oraz dokonanie oceny polityki transportowej w tym kraju pod kątem możliwości sprostania uwarunkowaniom rozwojowym sektora transportowego oraz osiągnięcia celów społecznych, ekonomicznych, środowiskowych (czyli celów wyznaczanych przez koncepcję zrównoważonego rozwoju).(abstrakt oryginalny)

The objective of this article is to analyse the transport sector in Australia and to evaluate Australians transport policy in view of: facing the opportunities and threats, as well as weak and strong points of the transport sector; reaching social, economic and environmental goals (i.e. goals set by the concept of sustainable development).
