Abstrakty

Celem opracowania było ustalenie, w jakim stopniu zmiany wprowadzone w latach 2007-2008 w wybranych klasyfikacjach międzynarodowych mogą wpłynąć na dostępność i jakość informacji o turystyce w regionach. W jego pierwszej części krótko przedstawiono analizowane systemy sprawozdawczości statystycznej oraz wprowadzone w nich zmiany dotyczące turystyki, w drugiej scharakteryzowano podstawowe potrzeby informacyjne regionów i na tym tle wskazano, na ile omawiane zmiany mogą ułatwić ich zaspokojenie. Ze względu na niewielką objętość opracowania uwagę skupiono na wybranych zmianach, które uznano za najważniejsze z punktu widzenia podjętego tematu. (fragment tekstu)

Rational marketing efforts and the policy of regional development through tourism demand relevant and accurate data. The consistent system of public statistics guarantees wide access to such information, their comparability in special order and in time. For tourism the problem is not only to include it into public statistics but also to incorporate it to other recognized systems of reporting so that it could be credibly compared with other economic activities. The paper focuses on that problem in the context of changes introduced in "Recommendations on Tourism Statistics" approved by the Statistical Commission of the UN in 199325 (referred as IRTS:2008) and new classifications of activities and products introduced in Poland (PKD 2007 and PKWiU 2008 in Polish terminology). The analysis of the above mentioned changes reveals that they should offer a more solid picture of the size and structure of tourism as well as the influence of tourism on a region industry. However, the problem can refer to the incorporation of changes which have been introduced, especially in the field of tourism statistics.(original abstract)
