Abstrakty

Bancassurance to strategia łączenia usług bankowych i ubezpieczeniowych. W artykule skupiono się na analizie najbardziej popularnego produktu, czyli ubezpieczeń na życie jako produktu ochronnego w celu zabezpieczenia spłaty kredytu. Omówiono konstrukcje prawną umowy ubezpieczenia, postępowanie roszczeniowe oraz przedstawiono problem płatności składki ubezpieczeniowej.

This article analyses the bancassurance strategy, which treats life insurance as a protection product for borrowers. In this strategy the insurer increases the volume of gross written premiums, while the customer (the borrower) is covered in the case of death and the bank is repaid the credit by the insurer. If the borrower dies, the insurer pays the benefit to the bank as a major beneficiary. The value of the benefit is equal to the value of credit to be repaid on the day of the event. Such a life insurance agreement lowers the amount insured. (original abstract)
