Abstrakty

W 1999 r. do tzw. walut rezerwowych dołączyło euro, które mimo swego krótkotrwałego istnienia błyskawicznie zdobywa bardzo silną pozycję. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest pokazanie aktualnej pozycji euro, jako waluty rezerwowej, przede wszystkim w stosunku do dolara amerykańskiego. W obliczu istniejącego kryzysu światowego jest to problematyka bardzo ważna, ponieważ polityka gospodarcza Unii Europejskiej powinna poświęcać znacznie więcej uwagi problemom, które występują na świecie. Przeprowadzone analizy mają pokazać znaczne tempo umacniania się pozycji euro. Należy zwrócić też uwagę na takie kwestie, jak osłabiający się dolar amerykański, reakcje Chin na ten problem oraz dynamika zamiany USD na euro wraz z towarzyszącą jej reorganizacją rezerw walutowych różnych banków centralnych poza strefą euro i Unią Europejską. In 1999 the euro has joined the group of foreign currency reserves. The most noticeable thing is the fast reaching high position in the international economic relations. The main purpose of this article is to show the current situation of the euro in the world. It is very important for economic policy of the European Union to observe many dynamic changes in different countries in order to value the real future of that currency. The most important essentials of strengthening the euro are connected with the USD weakness, the reaction of the China Republic for this and the speed of exchanging American dollar to the euro in the currency reserves structures of different central banks out of Euroland and European Union.
