Abstrakty
Artykuł przedstawia próbę oceny stopnia rozwoju procesów innowacyjnych typu INPUT oraz OUTPUT w europejskiej przestrzeni regionalnej oraz identyfikacji profili innowacyjności w przyjętym przekroju szczebla NUTS 2. Do badań europejskiej przestrzeni regionalnej wykorzystano cechy ilustrujące innowacyjność. The article presents an attempt to evaluate the level of INPUT and OUTPUT type of innovation processes development in the European regional space and innovation profiles identification in the accepted cross-section of NUTS 2 level regions. In order to analyze European regional space the following attributes, which illustrate innovation, were used. The criteria for distinguishing regional innovation profiles were defined. The conducted classification of the European regional space at the NUTS 2 level facilitated the conclusion that: the European regional space is highly diversified. Among the regions in which innovation occurs in a very limited scope there are as many as 150 regions, which makes 61.5% of regions, while in case of 28 regions (which makes 11.5% of all European regions) the values of all analyzed attributes, illustrating both INPUT and OUTPUT profile, were lower than the median value.
