Abstrakty

Artykuł przedstawia ewolucje systemowego zarządzania jakością począwszy od metod kontroli wyrobów i procesów, poprzez metody zapewnienia jakości, aż po stosowane obecnie narzędzia doskonalenia operacyjnego. Celem opracowania jest pokazanie na tle badań empirycznych przeprowadzonych w przedsiębiorstwach posiadających wdrożony system zarządzania jakością w naszym kraju wykorzystywanych metod jego rozwoju. Starting from 80s of the last century, especially in the developed countries, one can notice significant achievements within the framework of quality management systems. These actions lead to e.g. dissemination of management standards based on the requirements of the ISO 9000 norms in a number of countries across the world. Study results indicated that companies improving the management systems based on the PDCA process cycle are more and more frequently interested in employing tools for the development of the EH&S area (Environment, Health and Safety) based on the requirements of the standards in environmental management (ISO 14001), health and safety management OHSAS/PN-N 18001), as well as others operational improvement tools including the use of Toyota Production System (Kaizen, 5S/Total Productive Maintenance), Lean Management and Six Sigma. Increasingly, development strategies of global market leaders are orientated towards the most effective use of their resources in order to gain the best possible competitive advantage in the supply chain. Companies are also becoming aware that in the international contacts, system management of supply chain safety (e.g. complying with the ISO 28000 requirements) is indispensable. Companies are also becoming aware that the risk in running business is not limited to their relationship with customers and suppliers only, but it is also closely connected with business operations. That is why they are becoming more and more interested in the system management of the activity continuity according to the directives included in the BS 25999 standard. (original abstract)
