This article investigates the way in which global changes in the world affect the rural development policy in Europe and Poland. This study presents the established strategies for adapting the rural development policy deriving from alterations within the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) in the period 2007-2013. Consequently, these analyses refer to the recent Health Check of the CAP in regards to various public, social and private views. (original abstract)
