Abstrakty

W niniejszym artykule ukazano problematykę działalności wysoce wyspecjalizowanej instytucji kredytowej w warunkach postępującego procesu uniwersalizacji, będącego konsekwencją globalizacji. Podmiotem rozważań jest bank morski (ang. shipbank, nietn. Schiffsbank), który wbrew światowemu trendowi funkcjonuje, koncentrując się na wąskiej niszy, jaką jest refinansowanie handlowej floty morskiej w trybie emisji morskich listów zastawnych. Omówiono niemiecki rynek listów zastawnych, prezentując odpowiednie regulacje prawne oraz akcentując rolę morskich listów zastawnych. W ostatniej części artykułu dokonano analizy pozycji konkurencyjnej oraz struktury bilansu największego na rynku niemieckim banku morskiego, jakim jest Deutsche Schiffsbank A G. The globalization process has diffrent impact on financial market. It has made many changes in the financial market structure, the competition ways of financial intermediaries and development of financial innovations. This paper deliberates the meaning of ship banking specialization in universality market condition. First and second part describes determinantes and legal framework of German ship banking development, specifically concentrates on an amendment to The Pfandhrief Act of May 22, 2005. In the third and fourth part the author concentrates on displaying the current situation on the German covered bond market and balance sheet structure of Deutsche Schiffsbank AG - the biggest ship bank in Europe.
