Abstrakty
European Union Commission, on the base of last years' experience, reports and surveys on instruments focused on improvement of environmental quality of products, introduced some changes in the product policy. The product scope of the Eco-design Directive will be extended to cover all energy-related products. Ecolabelling, both: ecological and energy efficiency will be developed. These instruments have a high potential in changing consumption patters - their idea is still attractive. There will be also taken other initiatives supporting sustainable consumption, especially consumers and retailers oriented. (original abstract)
