Abstrakty

Ważną kwestią teoretyczną oraz praktyczną dla firm ubezpieczeniowych jest obliczenie poziomu rezerw dla roszczeń zaszłych, ale nie rozliczonych. Skrótowa nazwa tych rezerw to rezerwy typu IBNR (ang. Incurred But Not Reported) lub rezerwy typu RBNS (ang. Reported But Not Settled). W pracy omówiono model wiarygodność Hachemeistera oraz jego dostosowanie do prognozowania rezerw typu IBNR.

An important theoretical and practical issue for insurance companies is calculation of the level of reserves for the claims originating in a particular year but cannot be finalized in the year (IBNR). In this paper, the Hachemeister credibility model and its adaptation to solve the IBNR problem are presented. The approach proposed above does not require rigorous assumptions concerning the distributions of the claims. Furthermore, using simulated data, forecasts obtained by this model will be compared to alternative methods of setting the reserve level. (original abstract)
