Abstrakty

Zaprezentowano istotę i rozwój rynku pozagiełdowego (Over-the-Counter Market - OTC) stanowiącego możliwość łatwego i taniego pozyskania kapitału. Ma to duże znaczenie szczególnie dla małych i średnich przedsiębiorstw, które nie spełniają giełdowych wymagań dopuszczenia ich akcji do obrotu. NASDAQ - pierwszy rynek OTC stał się jednym z najlepiej rozwiniętych rynków akcji na świecie. W pracy omówiono i przedstawiono ważniejsze alternatywne rynki akcji: AIM (Wielka Brytania), Neuer Markt (Niemcy), Noveau Marche` (Francja).

The purpose of this article was to describe the characteristics of the circumstances of arising and dynamic development of the European Over-the-Counter markets, their attitude towards supporting small and medium size enterprises with high growth potential and the processes of consolidation and territorial expansion of these markets. NASDAQ was the first Over-the-Counter market and it has become one of the largest stock markets in the world. Since 1995 many Over-the-Counter markets has been set up in various countries, but the strongest growth characterizes those in Europe - Alternative Investment Market (AIM) in United Kingdom, Neuer Markt in Germany and Nouveau Marché in France. The alternative markets in those countries play a vital role in financing small and medium-sized enterprises. There are some processes in the world's economics, like globalization and standardization, which led to some new market alliances, like Euro. NM, and takeovers, like NASDAQ, which acquired a majority stake in EASDAQ. Author expects that the consolidation will proceed. (original abstract)
