Międzynarodowy wymiar bezpieczeństwa energetycznego jest dostrzegany m.in. także w regionie Azji i Pacyfiku, a kwestie energetyczne od lat są poruszane na forum dwóch największych organizacji działających w regionie: Stowarzyszenia Narodów Azji Południowo-Wschodniej (ASEAN) oraz Współpracy Gospodarczej Azji i Pacyfiku (APEC). Energy security is an international issue. Addressing broader challenges in this area requires regional or even global co-operation. Both ASEAN and APEC are trying to ensure greater security and sustainability of energy supply through diversification, development and conservation of resources, the efficient use of energy, and the wider application of environmentally sound technologies.(original abstract)
