Własność publiczna ma w gospodarce komplementarne znaczenie w stosunku do własności prywatnej. Pełnienie przez państwo funkcji asekuracyjnych w gospodarce prowadzi w okresie kryzysu gospodarczego do przejściowego zwiększenia zakresu sektora publicznego. Podstawowym instrumentem jest w tym przypadku nacjonalizacja, która jest jednym z elementów pakietu stabilizacyjnego wdrożonego w latach 2007-2009 w Stanach Zjednoczonych. (abstrakt oryginalny)

Public ownership plays in the economy a complementary role in relation to private ownership. The state functions in the economy as a guarantor, what leads in the period of economic crisis to transitional increase in the scope of the public sector. The primary instrument is in this case nationalization, which also is a part of the stabilization package adopted between 2007 and 2009 in the United States. (original abstract)
