Abstrakty
Opisano i zanalizowano wpływ rozbieżnych przepisów dotyczących bezpieczeństwa żywności na międzynarodowy handel żywnością. Przedstawiono oraz porównano ramy regulacyjne stosowane w Unii Europejskiej i USA. Następnie omówiono kilka spornych kwestii związanych z bezpieczeństwem żywności jakie wyniknęły pomiędzy UE a USA. Starano się ustalić, w jakim stopniu są one wynikiem różnic nie do pogodzenia, a w jakim stopniu są częścią strategii handlowej.

This paper describes and examines the impact of divergent food safety regulations on the international trade in food. The author presents the regulatory framework developed in the EU and contrasts it with the US approaches to food safety regulations. Next he identifies and analyzes several EU-US trade related food safety disputes in order to determine to what extent they are the result of irreconcilable differences and to what extent they are a part of trade strategies.
