Języki publikacji
Abstrakty
Kraje Bliskiego Wschodu posiadają około 45% światowych rezerw ropy naftowej i około 14% gazu ziemnego. To właśnie zasoby energetyczne postawiły te kraje w uprzywilejowanej sytuacji, która miała istotny wpływ na powołanie Rady Współpracy Państw Zatoki (Gulf Cooperation Council – GCC). Celem artykułu jest analiza działalności tej Rady do chwili jej powstania do chwili obecnej.
The countries of the Middle East possess approximately 45% of the world's oil reserves and roughly 14% of its natural gas deposits. They thus comprise a strategically crucial geographic area in terms of energy supply security. Integration processes occurring in this region have come about both from the desire to obtain a higher level of development and the wish to sustain the Arab countries' important position in the world economy. The objective of the article is to analyse the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) from the organisation’s inception to the present as a regional platform serving the mentioned policy targets.
