Abstrakty

Przedstawiono ewolucję struktury hiszpańskiego rolnictwa w ujęciu regionalnym w okresie ostatnich dwudziestu lat. Analizą objęto jednostki terytorialne noszące w nomenklaturze Unii Europejskiej symbol NTS2. Przemiany w rolnictwie hiszpańskim od momentu akcesji do UE, są z naszego punktu widzenia szczególnie interesujące, gdyż to właśnie Hiszpania jest tym krajem, którego proces integracji oraz rozwój w ramach wspólnego rynku można przyrównać do obecnej sytuacji Polski. Przeobrażenia, które dokonały się w rolnictwie hiszpańskim wskazują na potencjalne kierunki zmian, które czekają polskie rolnictwo w najbliższych latach. (abstrakt oryginalny)

Spanish integration with the EU was a constructive step on the road to modern, well-developed economy. Spain, previously economically backward, with giant problems in primary sector, turned into a modern and competitive country. Last 20 years can be described as a success in changing structure of Spanish agriculture, but in some of Spanish Autonomous Communities, small-scale and low-tech agriculture still dominates. In Andalusia, Extremadura, Castalia y Leon, Castalia La Mancha and Murcia, traditional economy is not adapted to market conditions. Despite twenty years of Spain being a Member State of the European Community, agriculture is still a crucial sector in mention above regions and modernization of the primary sector seems to be a top priority for them. However nowadays analyzing Spanish situation, we can undoubtedly say that integration with the European Union was the. right step on the road to success. Poland and other new member states can learn much from the Spanish case because their situation today is comparable to the Spanish situation twenty years ago. Similarly to Spain back then, Poland has a huge amount of unsolved problems in primary sector. But since the first moments after accession, similar to Spain, Poland has participated in a significant portion of community structural aid. (original abstract)
