Abstrakty

Celem niniejszego artykułu jest zbadanie uwarunkowań wdrożeń zintegrowanych systemów zarządzania w zależności od wielkości przedsiębiorstwa. Opracowanie rozpoczyna przegląd wyników prac badawczych, w których omówiono znaczenie wielkości przedsiębiorstwa w procesie wdrożeniowym. W dalszej części dokonano analizy uwarunkowań projektów wdrożeniowych z perspektywy wielkości firmy na podstawie badań empirycznych przeprowadzonych w dwóch grupach kilkudziesięciu polskich przedsiębiorstw. Prześledzono wpływ wielkości przedsiębiorstwa na trudności w projektach wdrożeniowych oraz przedyskutowano krytyczne czynniki sukcesu wdrażania zintegrowanych systemów zarządzania w zależności od wielkości firmy. Dokonano także analizy efektów zastosowania zintegrowanego systemu zarządzania w przedsiębiorstwie oraz poziomu osiąganego sukcesu w zależności od wielkości przedsiębiorstwa. Wyniki sugerują, że trudno jest wyznaczyć jednoznaczne reguły różnicujące uwarunkowania małych i dużych przedsiębiorstw. Do tych uwarunkowań można zaliczyć dopasowanie systemu do potrzeb przedsiębiorstwa w przypadku firm małych i średnich. Wyniki badań pokazują, że korzyści osiągane przez firmy oraz uwarunkowania związane z ludźmi nie są zależne od wielkości firmy. Opracowanie kończy omówienie osiągniętych wyników oraz uwagi podsumowujące. (abstrakt oryginalny)

The main goal of the paper involves the research into determinants of integrated management systems implementations, with respect to enterprise size. The study begins with a review of results obtained in performed researches that discuss the significance of enterprise size in implementation process. Next part submits an analysis of implementation processes determinants with regard to firm size, carried out on the basis of empirical research made in two groups comprising several dozen of Polish enterprises. In the applied research approach, an influence of company size on difficulties faced in implementation projects has been investigated, and crucial success factors concerning integrated management systems implementations have been discussed in the context of firm size. Analysis of effects of integrated management system implementation in an enterprise and evaluations of the level of achieved success in relation to enterprise size have also been performed. Obtained results show that it is difficult to find out explicit rules that differentiate determinants for small and big companies. In case of small and medium companies, a big significance of matching the system to the enterprise needs can be regarded as a distinguishing aspect. On the other hand, the results illustrate that benefits being achieved by firms and determinants connected with people are independent of the enterprise size. The final part of the paper involves discussion of obtained results and concluding remarks. (original abstract)
