Przykłady opisane w artykule pokazują, że zostały już opracowane i zastosowane w praktyce pierwsze systemy klasyfikacyjne, do których wiedza pozyskiwana jest automatycznie, głównie z zastosowaniem metod maszynowego uczenia. Zastosowanie w nich mechanizmów odkrywania wiedzy rozwiązuje jednocześnie problem przetwarzania oraz wykorzystania informacji przechowywanych w stale powiększających się bazach danych. In recent years there has been an increase in interest in the domain independent knowledge acquisition systems based on inductive learning algorithms. Many institutions store a great deal of unused information in their databases. One of the possibilities of using this data has been created by knowledge discovery systems. The knowledge acquired this way can be used in classification decision making process. There are many classification problems in management in its broadest sense. Classification is present whenever we choose one decision out of many possible. At the same time, the application of inductive symbolic methods allows us to avoid the problems that appear during knowledge acquisition from a human expert. (original abstract)
